Translated: In the City of La Paz, Capital of the Judicial District of the South of the territory of Baja California at two o´clock in the afternoon of the twenty-ninth of april of one thousand eight hundred and eighty-nine, before me Mr. Eduardo F. Rivas, public notary and of the instrumental witnesses[?] who will finally express themselves, Messrs. Mr. Felix Gibert and Mr. Leonardo Orinsky appeared: the first of legal age, married, originated and resident of this town, trader by profession, with a room on Calle del Comercio block number seven of the new plan of this place; the second of legal age, married, originally from Poland, resident of the City of San Antonio in Texas, a pharmacist by profession and accidentally in this place, whom I know and give as well as his legal capacity for obligations, and I leave Mr. Don Felix Gibert that on January twenty-six, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight, together with Mr. Manuel Lamacona and Ynclan[?] as representative of Mr. Plutarco Ornelas, they entered into a contract with the Secretary of State and the General Development Office Carlos Pacheco, representing of the Federal Executive whose contract was published on February 20 of the aforementioned year according to-
